Chievres Freedom Fest 21 and Freedom Fighter Obstacle Run

Celebrate a return to freedom with friends and family at this family-friendly 4th of July! 

Enjoy BBQ, beverages, live music from the SHAPE International Band, and if you are up for it, push yourself through the Freedom Fighter Obstacle Run.

Kids will love the bouncy castles, tie-dye T-shirt sessions, and more fun activities by Child and Youth Services. 

After the obstacle course, enjoy food prepared by BOSS.  The Bene Brew Cafe and Pub will be open and the SHAPE International Band will play.  

Open to U.S. and NATO ID cardholders, and guests.  Event will be held on Chievres Air Base. No pets, please. 

Entry fee for the Freedom Fighter Obstacle Run is $15 and includes a t-shirt. Registration is mandatory.  Onsite registration is possible. Held, rain or shine. 

Schedule of events: 

10 AM:   Opening Remarks
10:15 -11:30 AM: Freedom Fighter Obstacle Run Phase 1
Service Members only (U.S. and NATO), groups no larger than 25. Social distancing rules apply. 
11 AM:  CYS Activities; bouncy houses and tie-dyed t-shirt and more!
Noon:  MWR and ACS booths open, T-shirt sales
Noon - 2 PM: Freedom Fighter Obstacle Run Phase 2
Family friendly, ages 10 and up. 
Noon - 3 PM: Mainstage entertainment with SHAPE International Band
Noon - 4 PM: BOSS grill is open, Commissary hot dogs, fish and chips food truck
Noon - 4 PM: Cosplayers (Displays, Photo Ops and Demonstrations)
Noon - 4 PM: MWR Mechanical Bull (cost and height restrictions)
Noon - 4 PM: Cornhole tournaments
