10 Single/Eligible service members from the Chievres community will be BOSS sponsored to attend the class that starts on Monday, July 11 with partnership through SHAPE Sub-Aqua Club. The location will be at the SHAPE Swimming Pool for practice dives and open water dives location to be determined by instructor. During the course, participants will learn the theory and hard skills to complete the Open Water Basic Course.
Service members will meet at the Scuba Club, Building 238 on Rue Tibre on SHAPE and conduct a try dive. Participants will get gear and head to the pool. Attendees needs to be in a bathing suit. It will take about an hour to work everyone through the try dive. Service members will attend 3-4 day class in about 4 weeks starting Monday, July 11, typically from 5-7:30PM classroom and pool time or to be determined by the NAUI instructor and BOSS participant’s pace.
If any soldier/eligible is unable to commit 48 hours prior to event, then they will be replaced by a waitlist individual.
No transportation offered for pool dive sessions. TMP utilized for open water/offsite dive location (TBD).

Service members interested in attending the life skill course will register directly with SPC by calling DSN 314-597-7447 / 068-25-7447, or with their unit BOSS representative who will relay their information to her.

Minimum of 5 participants must sign up by 2 July 2022 or class will be canceled.
