Ellie holds a Doctorate in Athletic Training and has over 15 years of sports medicine experience, having worked extensively with both military and high school populations. She brings a strong clinical and performance background to her role and is excited to use her expertise to support high-quality programming within the facility. Known for her dedication and collaborative spirit, Ellie is passionate about helping individuals reach their full potential. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband and young son, traveling, nerding-out over her favorite interests, and enjoying theater – especially musicals.

Terrance Peters, CPT
Recreation Assistant
M/W 5:15 -6:15 .m. - Battle Strength Class
As both an Army Veteran and personal trainer, Terrance is well versed in the physical and mental demands of the military. He is a knowledgeable and dedicated personal trainer with a specialization in weight training, AFT testing score improvement, strength & conditioning, and mobility correction. He truly encompasses a well-rounded professional expertise that can cater to any client’s needs. When out of the gym, Terrance is either spending quality time with his family, producing music, or simply enjoying the sights and sounds of the Belgium culture.

Anne-Marie Atkins
Recreation Assistant
Originating from the UK, Anne-Marie served as a Suffolk Police Constable before relocating to Belgium. Currently she serves as a tenured Recreation Assistant for the Chievres Fitness Center. It is her passion to support the mission of MWR, which is exemplified through her keen customer service skills, continuous drive to create solutions to challenges the organization faces, and unwavering dedication to helping others. More than anything, she enjoys spending time with her 4 children and 4 grandchildren. Often, her love of hiking, bike riding, and running is a family affair and is her optimal way of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Caitlin holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and has over a decade of experience optimizing training plans, reducing musculoskeletal injury risk, and helping people build healthy, sustainable habits that last a lifetime. With a background working with professional athletes, she has developed a strong passion for supporting pre- and post-partum athletes.
As a certified triathlon coach and former collegiate triathlete, Caitlin blends scientific knowledge, coaching expertise, and firsthand athletic experience to help athletes train efficiently while minimizing injury risk.

Taylor Smith, CPT
Recreation Assistant
T/Th 12-1 p.m. - HIIT Class
More commonly known as “The Guy with the Mustache”, Taylor brings a unique energy and perspective to the gym as both a fitness professional and Active Duty Soldier. He excels in a wide variety of exercise but specializes in weightlifting and strength training. He is constantly looking for new ways to exercise, new information about fitness, and new ideas to excel the gym and its community to new heights. His dedication to the gym and everyone in it is unparalleled, so feel free to approach him with questions or for advice. You can almost always expect to see him walking around and motivating those around him with his infamous “you can do more” motto. When he’s not at the gym he enjoys time with his family, friends, playing video games, or exploring Europe.
